Camp Osprey offers a diverse, age appropriate experience in a safe and fun outdoor environment. Campers enjoy the Y’s swimming pools, open-air gymnasium and play ground, as well as its 25 acres of woods and trails.
Throughout the summer we incorporate the four core values of the YMCA, Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility, into our activities and discussions. In addition to the normally scheduled camper activities, each week of camp will also have its own theme and field trip or camp experience that will serve to enhance the week.
Our camp is separated into two age groups; the Herons (ages 5-8) and the Egrets (ages 9-12). We also have a Leader-in-Training program for 13-16 year olds. All campers will share the same program, meeting, and lunch space. Herons and Egrets participate in group specific games/activities in addition to camp-wide events throughout the day. We organize our camp with safety and developmental appropriateness as our highest concerns.
BEFORE & AFTER CARE
We understand that many parents need a safe, enriching place for their children outside of regular camp hours (9:00am - 4:00pm). Extended care is provided at no additional charge each day from 7:30 - 9:00am and 4:00 - 5:30pm.

2020 CAMP FEES
Ages 5-8: $250 per session, per child, $50 due at registration.
Ages 9-12: $245 per session, per child, $50 due at registration.
Register by May 1, receive $10 off each week of camp.
MULTIPLE SESSION INCENTIVE
Register for seven weeks or more, receive $10 off each week.
Weekly fees reduced by $10 per session per child for the second and every subsequent child from the same family attending the same camp session.
EXAMPLE: 1st child = $250; 2nd child = $240; 3rd child = $240

At the Y, we believe all kids should have the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve through programs like camp. That’s why we are committed to serving everyone, regardless of ability to pay. Financial assistance is available, using a sliding scale based on household income. No one is turned away, so please ask! We also accept Aspire and other State subsidies and vouchers. For more information, please click here.
It is only through the generous support of individuals, businesses, and organizations in our community that we are able to provide this need-based financial assistance. Because of their generosity, the YMCA of Southern Maine provided more than $1.1 million in financial assistance and program support to children last year, giving more children access to summer camp and other youth development programs that nurture their potential.

Until all required forms are completed and submitted, and required payments are made, your camp session is not secured. A $50 deposit per week is required to hold your camper's spot (non-refundable, non-transferable). This deposit will be applied to the cost of the camp. One child per form. Please complete all sections neatly.
Weekly balances are due in full the Wednesday before camp starts through an automatic draft payment (credit card or checking account). If an automatic payment is not possible, please contact the Camp Director. We want to work with all families and will not turn a child away due to financial need.
Checks, credit card payments, and bank account drafts returned to us by the bank will incur a $20 fee. If your payment is returned to us, all future payments must be made with cash, money order, or cashier's check.
Cancellations & Refunds
All deposits are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Weekly program fees for campers who leave for behavioral reasons will not be refunded. For cancellations other than verifiable medical reasons, tuitions paid in advance (minus deposit) will be refunded if we receive written notice with reason for withdrawal at least two weeks before the start of the sessions.
