Our School Age Child Care programs are licensed through Maine's Department of Health and Human Services, and all staff are First Aid and CPR certified, with prior experience working with children. Staff also participate in ongoing training, ensuring that your children are always safe and well cared for.
We are committed to serving all, regardless of ability to pay. Our Annual Campaign raises funds for families in need of financial assistance. This past year, over 800 youth in our Child Care programs received some level of financial assistance. If you think you may qualify, please apply!
We also accept DHHS vouchers, ASPIRE, and Transitional Assistance Funds. Please contact us if you qualify for this funding.
We offer fun, age-appropriate activities that encourage self-esteem and growth.
STEM - Fun, enriching activities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math help build upon the foundations learned in school and increase academic interest and success.
Community Service - Children undertake several learning service projects throughout the year, learning social responsibility at a young age.
Healthy Habits - We are committed to building a healthier future. Children in our programs are served fruits or vegetables at snack time, and are exposed to at least 30 minutes of structured physical play each day.
Swimming - Swimming is a valuable lifelong skill that teaches kids to be safe in and around the water, and is included weekly in after school programs located at our YMCA branches.
Youth Sports & Activities - Kids learn cooperation, teamwork, leadership, and sports skills through our daily movement activities.
