Annual Campaign

When you give to the YMCA, your generosity reaches children, individuals, families, and seniors throughout the Southern Maine community.  All proceeds go directly to our financial assistance program so we can stay true to our promise to turn no one away because of an inability to pay.

From A to Z, we offer a variety of experiences to nurture the potential of every child and teen, improve the nation's health and well-being, and provide support to our neighbors.

The Y is dedicated to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.   With programs from A to Z—like athletics to advocacy, healthy bodies to healing, volleyball to volunteerism—we don't just strengthen individuals, we strengthen communities.

Every gift matters.
Everyone has a role to play.
Together, we can achieve so much more.

We believe Southern Maine can be so much more.

Every day, we take on the challenges that will shape our community's future - challenges like the academic achievement gap, childhood obesity, and chronic illnesses.

Because we believe everyone has the power to make their lives and community better, we open our doors to all - no matter who they are or where they are from.  Together with our 16,000 members, our 800 volunteers, and our friends and partners throughout the community, we make Southern Maine stronger by focusing on three priorities: youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Last year, thanks to 1,804 donors our Annual Campaign and Special Events raised $453,015.  We received generous designated contributions and United Way funding totaling $247,679.  Because of this, we continue to stay true to our promise to turn no one away because of an inability to pay.  Over the past year, 8,215 individuals received financial assistance, totaling $993,974.

Give to this year's Annual Campaign to ensure everyone has access to the programs and services that give kids, individuals, and families the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
