Assistance with Camp

ensuring all can participate

The YMCA of Southern Maine serves the entire community, regardless of ability to pay. We do this by providing financial assistance, made possible through the generous support of donors in our community.

The State of Maine Child Care Assistance Program helps eligible families to pay for child care so parents can work, go to school, or participate in a job training program. CCSP is also available for eligible families where the adult(s) are retired and are the legal guardian of a child.

YMCA Financial Assistance serves a broader group of families, with fewer qualifications to meet.  However, for families who qualify, the State subsidy/voucher programs often result in a lower cost per week of care.  We encourage all families to check if they are eligible. We will support your family through either process, whichever is right for your needs.

Please Note: If applying for Financial Assistance or registering for camp with State Subsidy, please submit your forms at least two weeks prior to the start of your first camp week. This will help ensure that your child’s paperwork is processed in time.

Forms & Applications

If you are applying for Financial Assistance or State Subsidy, you must submit paper copies of these forms. Our online system is not able to process assistance.

We would be happy to print forms for you if you do not have access to a printer. If you need assistance completing this paperwork, or if you have question, please let us know.
